Happy Friday! If you have read much of this blog, you understand that I like to have fun in my work and relationship. I once did an entire presentation to a website company on marketing and digital trends referring to Google as “The Googles”. A few picked up on it immediately while it took others a while, but all got a kick out of it and they still talk about it. I have also used The Googles to have some fun with my wife.
I will occasionally leave her an equivalent of a video game easter egg! I will open a new Safari or IE window and create a bunch of funny searches on the Googles. The more outlandish the better! I then either leave the windows up all over the screen or make sure the tabs are visible (see photo at the top of this post). Just to give you an idea, here are a few I have used in the past:
- I ate a Tamale, now what?
- I think my dog is a cat
- How do I capture the stars for her (corny…)
- I love my wife bumper sticker
- Why doesn’t my wife make spaghetti anymore
- Why do I have feet?
- How do I tell my wife that I love her?
The purpose of this is to make her laugh to start the day and throw in a few mushy things so she know you really do like her!
CAUTION: If you are going to do this, make sure you view the search results! You do not want to search something funny and the search results show something bad. Prime example below. I searched for “im attracted to my wife” thinking it would be fun, but all of the search results were about how people were NOT attracted to their spouse. UH OH!
Take Action Today
Open a new window in your browser and search something fun, romantic, and/or corny in Google. Minimize the window and repeat 5-10 times more. When you get done, close everything except those windows and wait for your spouse to open up the computer to find the funny searches!
